At Orient United Methodist Church, serving our community is at the heart of who we are. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your willingness to help makes a real difference in the lives of others.
Below are a few of the ways our church actively serves our neighbors — and how you can be part of it.
Each summer, we support children and families by encouraging literacy and a love of reading. Volunteers help with:
Distributing books and materials
Assisting with reading activities
Encouraging young readers in a safe, welcoming environment
Your time helps spark imagination and build confidence in our youth.
Located outside the church, our Blessing Box is available to the community 24/7.
Anyone may donate non-perishable food items
Anyone in need may take food freely — no questions asked
Volunteers help by:
Stocking and organizing the box
Checking supplies regularly
Spreading awareness in the community.
“Give what you can. Take what you need.”
Each year, we provide Holiday food baskets to individuals and families who may need extra support during the holiday season.
Volunteers assist with:
Collecting donated food items
Packing baskets
Delivering baskets to those in need
This outreach helps ensure that everyone has a warm, nourishing meal to share.
No matter your age or availability, there is a place for you to serve.
